Jannet Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 12, 2026

Jannet is an app by SolveIT LLC ("SolveIT", "we"), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. This policy applies to everyone who uses Jannet: contractors (owners and office staff), their subcontractors, whom we call workers, and independent workers on the Free plan. It explains what data the app collects, why, who sees what, how long it is kept and how to delete it. By using Jannet you accept this policy.

Most important: Jannet only measures time inside a job site's work area and while the shift is open. It does not monitor your location outside the job sites you joined.

1. Who is responsible for the data

SolveIT operates the app and its infrastructure. Each worker's attendance data on a job site (punches, hours and, if the job site requires them, optional selfies) is collected on behalf of the contractor who owns that job site. The contractor decides what it uses the data for (for example, paying its subcontractors) and is the one to answer questions about the work relationship. Free plan data belongs only to the worker who creates it.

2. What we collect

From all users

  • Account: the name and email of your Google or Apple account, your role and your language. We never store passwords.
  • Phone: model, OS version, an installation identifier, the push notification token and, on Android, the result of the Google Play Integrity check (whether it is a real phone with the original app).
  • Support: what you write to hello@solveitcompany.com.

From workers on a job site

  • Visible name: the name, initials or alias the contractor sees you as.
  • Location, only inside the job site: your phone's coordinates, plus the GPS accuracy, when you clock in, start or end a break or clock out, and while your shift is open, to confirm you are still inside the work area. If you leave the area, the clock stops. To do this during the shift the app may ask for the "allow all the time" location permission. We never read your location outside the job site or outside your shift.
  • Selfie: only if the job site requires it when clocking in. It is stamped with the time, the job site and the coordinates.
  • Attendance: punches, breaks, hours, notes you leave and the alerts they produce (late arrival, early leave, new phone, lost phone).

From Free plan workers (Quick Access)

  • Your personal time, projects, tasks, times and rates. That data is yours only and no contractor sees it.

From contractors

  • Company: the company name, the people who manage it and their roles.
  • Job sites: name, address, work area, days, hours and headcount.
  • Plan: the plan and subscription status. Payment happens on the web through a payment processor; we do not store card numbers.

We do not collect contacts, photos from your gallery, microphone audio or payment data in the app.

3. Why we use it

  • To record each worker's attendance on the job sites they joined and compute their hours.
  • To show the contractor who is on its job sites during the shift.
  • To confirm the punch happened inside the job site (GPS), that the worker stays in the work area during the shift, and that it was the right person (selfie, approved phone).
  • To send reminders about breaks, approvals, alerts and changes.
  • To manage contractor accounts, plans and billing.
  • To keep the app secure and detect fraud (unapproved phones, mock location).
  • To provide support and improve the app.

We do not sell data or use it for advertising.

4. Who sees what

  • The worker sees their own punches, hours, calendar and notes, and their Free plan data.
  • The contractor (owner and office staff) sees its job sites and, for each worker who joined them: visible name, punches, hours, selfies if the job site requires them, alerts, and location only inside the job site while the shift is open. It also sees the hours report by job site and by person with CSV. It does not see the worker's email, their phone's technical details, their location outside the job site or their Free plan data.
  • Other contractors see none of the above. If you work for several contractors, each one only sees its own job sites. There is no public profile.
  • Cloud service providers that process data on our behalf and under contract: hosting and database (servers in the USA), private selfie storage, and delivery of notifications and app updates. Also Google and Apple, to sign in with your account, Google for address search and the phone integrity check on Android, and the payment processor to bill the plans. Each receives only what its function needs and may not use the data for anything else.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

Leaving a job site. You can leave a job site at any time from the app. From that moment Jannet stops measuring your time and location on that job site, which was the only thing it was allowed to do. To rejoin that job site you need the contractor's approval again.

5. Google data

If you sign in with Google, we use your name and email to create and recognize your account. Our use of information received from Google is limited to operating the app and complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. How long we keep it

  • Selfies: 30 days from the punch, or until you delete your account, whichever comes first.
  • Punches and hours: as long as the contractor needs them as payment records. If you delete your account they are unlinked from your identity (see section 8).
  • Phone data: while the phone is registered and up to 30 days after.
  • Quick Access: until you delete it or delete your account.
  • Company and job site data: while the account is active.
  • If a company cancels Jannet, it has 60 days to export its data before deletion.

7. Security

Data travels encrypted (HTTPS) and is stored with providers that enforce access controls. Each company can only see its own data; that separation is enforced in the database. Selfies live in private storage the app reaches through short-lived signed links.

8. Your rights and how to delete your account

You can see and export your hours in the app. To delete your account: in the app, More > Delete my account, or email hello@solveitcompany.com from your account's email. On deletion: your account, your registered phones, your selfies and your Quick Access data are removed within 30 days at most. The punches and hours the contractor needs as payment records are kept without your name or email. If you live somewhere with privacy laws that give you more rights (access, correction, portability, objection), write to us and we will honor them.

If you manage a company, you can export its data (CSV) at any time. To close the company account, email hello@solveitcompany.com.

9. Children

Jannet is for people of legal working age under the laws of the place where they work. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. A company that invites someone under 18 is responsible for verifying their age and that the work is allowed for them by law.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we update the date above and notify in the app when the change matters.
